PLUMBING CODES

This is a link to the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulations. This contains information on the State and/or local adoption of the Plumbing Codes. Baltimore County and local jurisdictions under the authority of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission are exempt from the state plumbing laws. Please refer to the each local jurisdiction to obtain information on the local adoption of a plumbing code. Since ordinances change from time to time, please contact the local jurisdiction to obtain current information.

As of May 9, 2005, the Board adopted the 2003 National Standard Plumbing Code Illustrated with 2004 Supplement to the National Standard Plumbing Code, 2002 Edition of the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI, Z223.1, NFPA 54 and the Board's modifications to the code.
